Strategy and Business Facing

Technology & Data Strategy keep everybody focused on delivering the ambitious Transport for London strategy. As well as supporting business operations and providing administrative expertise, they’re involved in resource demand planning. They also play a key role in business development, working closely with our strategic suppliers and partners.

The Business Facing team make sure the voice of the business is heard by all of us in Technology & Data. Just as importantly, they help the rest of the business understand everything we’re doing – from planning and building, to running and improving tech and data. Sharing valuable insights into industry and market developments, they help to create value and improve costs.

Data and Analytics

Providing a host of data products and services, Data and Analytics drive better decision-making and improved customer services. Our data scientists, analytics and tools help customers in all kinds of ways – from improving their journeys and providing useful information, through to delivering refunds when things go wrong, and enhancing our operational services and planning.

Technology Development

Technology Development manage the timely development, testing and release of feature-rich tech into production. It’s a far-reaching area which spans everything from designing and developing new infrastructure solutions, to delivering and managing solution architecture, through to configuring third party products. When it comes to bespoke software, the team carries out systems analysis, specification, design, development and testing.

Cyber Security

Keeping our information and data safe has never been more important. Working closely with regulatory bodies and tech initiatives, the Cyber Security & Incident Response Team keep us resilient in the face of ever-evolving challenges. Their charter includes all aspects of cyber security in embedded, operational, consumer and enterprise technology – from incident response, to risk and threat assessment, to tech support, awareness and governance.

Technology Programmes and Transformation Portfolios

The Technology Programmes team lead on shaping, scoping, planning, managing and delivering initiatives with transformational impact.

We’re also responsible for apps, bots and digital information screens. The team harnesses the power of digital to champion everything from accessibility, air quality and active travel, to journey planning on the go.

Running the organisation’s end-to-end IT service lifecycle, Technology Service Operations ensure we get the best services – and the best value. A broad remit ranges from supplier performance, to risk assessment, to licence management and compliance. The team also design service models and deliver both new and changed services.
